Threat Monitoring Platform
Why Crowdsourcing
Three elements missing
from threat monitoring platforms.

The larger the network, the greater our scale, local cultural fluency, and the competitive capturing of threats.

Eliminate dangerous analytical blind spots
Unfiltered, on-the-ground context from every region
Consistent real-time coverage others miss
01
01
Scalability

Traditional threat monitoring models are constrained by analyst headcount. Our crowd scales automatically — the more reporters we onboard, the denser our global coverage. No ceiling.

02
02
Local Context

On-the-ground reporters understand the cultural, linguistic and political nuance of their regions — nuance that satellite imagery, scrapers, and Western-centric analysts routinely miss.

03
03
Competitive Collation

Reporters are incentivised by speed and accuracy — the faster a unique verified threat is submitted, the higher the reward. This ensures threats are captured the moment they occur.

Inside a Crowd Threat Report
Every report tells the
full story.

A Crowd Threat report isn't a headline — it's a structured intelligence record. Here's what every verified submission contains and why each element matters.

Report 1
1 / 3
◆ Live reports — Crowd Threat platform ◆
Icon
The incident category icon identifies the threat type at a glance — attack, unrest, infrastructure, natural hazard, and more.
Title
The headline of the incident as reported. Drawn from source reporting and contributor context — concise and factual.
Categorisation
A structured tag classifying the incident type, enabling clients to filter the live feed by threat category.
Summary
A structured overview drawn from source URLs and contributor context. As the network matures, this will increasingly include direct on-the-ground accounts.
Time of occurrence
When the threat event actually happened — recorded as close to the event time as the source data allows.
Time reported
When the report was submitted to the platform. The gap between this and time of occurrence is our key timeliness metric.
Time difference
The delta between occurrence and submission. 38% of reports arrive before the incident has fully unfolded.
Payment amount
The reward allocated to the reporter for this verified submission, tied to verification outcome and report uniqueness.
Speed of reporting
How quickly this report was submitted relative to others of the same type — feeding the reporter trust and ranking system.
Geolocated incident
Every report is pinned to precise GPS coordinates, feeding the live map and powering proximity alerts for asset tracking.
Source article
A link to the corroborating source — news article, official statement, or social post — used during verification.

Common Questions

Everything you need to know about Crowd Threat's platform, data model, and access options. Can't find what you're looking for? Get in touch.

Our model provides "Local Eyes on Global Threats," eliminating the biased perspectives, language gaps, and time-zone delays common in Western-centric providers. We scale globally through a verified crowd of local reporters — not algorithm-scraped news feeds.

Every incident reported by our global crowd is processed by our in-house team using the Crowd Threat VERIFY tool — an AI-powered QC system that checks title, type, summary, location, and timeline against source material. Contributors are paid only for unique, verified submissions, which incentivises quality.

Our contributors are local reporters from around the world with unique perspectives and direct access to on-the-ground information. They use our app to report threats in their regions as they happen, supported by an AI submission assistant.

We offer two primary access routes. You can use our platform directly with a subscription seat for your team, or integrate our real-time data feed into your own systems via an API subscription. Enterprise and custom contracts are also available.

Crowdsourcing addresses three critical gaps in traditional threat intelligence: Scalability — our network grows without the cost constraints of analyst-only models. Local Context — on-the-ground reporters capture cultural and linguistic nuance that remote teams miss. Competitive Collation — the larger the network, the faster and more comprehensively threats are captured.

Yes. Our public threat map at app.crowdthreat.world gives anyone access to verified incidents with a 48-hour delay — no account required. Premium subscription and API access unlock real-time and future-looking intelligence.
